Interac Betting Sites
Single-game parlays used to be the only legal option at Canadian lottery counters. Since August 2021, you can bet on one game, and you can fund it with an e-Transfer. We put real money through four Interac betting sites to see which ones handle the sports side properly.

Compare Casinos
This page is for people who want sports first and casino second. Three of the four brands below run a full sportsbook beside the casino, and one does not, which we explain. We also cover the provincial books, how Interac gambling deposits behave on match day, and where the withdrawal side gets awkward. Checked October 7, 2026.
Sportuna is our top Interac sportsbook, with one CAD wallet for bets and casino and 24-72 hour Interac payouts. BigClash has esports and a huge casino but takes Interac deposits only, and Caspero adds slot tournaments to a full live sportsbook.
How Interac sports betting became normal in Canada
A quick bit of history explains why so many sites now put a sportsbook in front of a Canadian audience.
For decades the Criminal Code only allowed provinces to offer parlay bets, where you had to pick at least two outcomes on one ticket. Bill C-218, the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act, changed that. From August 27, 2021, provinces could offer single-event wagers, and they moved fast. Ontario then opened a regulated online market through iGaming Ontario and the AGCO on April 4, 2022, with private sportsbooks registering there.
Outside Ontario, provinces run their own online books, and offshore sportsbooks with their own licences are widely used by Canadians. The four brands on this page fall in that offshore group. None of them is presented on our list as registered with iGaming Ontario, so Ontario bettors should read the provincial section below first.
Who can bet
Adults only. The age is 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Québec. Sportsbooks check this at verification, and an e-Transfer from an account in someone else's name will be rejected.
Interac betting sites we tested, compared
Four brands, ranked by our overall score. We checked what is on the sports menu and what happens on the Interac side, in both directions.
| Site | Sports offer | Interac | Stated payout | Welcome offer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sportuna (9.6) | Sportsbook with live betting, plus virtual sports | Deposits and payouts | 24-72 hours | 225% up to $4,500 |
| BigClash (9.4) | Sports betting and esports | Deposits only | Up to 72 hours | 100% up to $750 |
| Caspero (9.2) | Full live sportsbook and esports | Available in Canada | 24-72 hours | 100% up to $500 |
| Winbay (8.8) | Virtual sports only, no sportsbook | Core method | 1-3 days | 100% up to $300 |
The welcome offers listed are the casino-side figures on our file. Sportsbook-specific welcome deals vary and change often, so check the promotions tab on the sports side of each site before you opt in to anything.
Sportuna: the one-wallet option
Our favourite for bettors who also play slots. Sportuna runs the sportsbook and casino off a single CAD balance, so a win on the Jays slides straight into the slot lobby, or the other way round, without a transfer between wallets. Interac covers both deposits and cashouts, and our withdrawal landed inside the stated 24-72 hours. There is no native app; the mobile site handled live in-play betting without trouble on our phones. Licence details are in the footer.
BigClash and Caspero
BigClash has a dedicated Canadian site, sports and esports markets, and an enormous casino of 8,600-plus games. It is a strong book for esports fans. The downside for e-Transfer users is clear: Interac is deposit-only. Winnings come back via Skrill, Neteller or another method on its list, quoted at up to 72 hours. Caspero is closer to Sportuna in shape, with a full live sportsbook, esports and Interac available for Canadians, plus regular slot tournaments and a rewards store on the casino side. Some bonuses carry country restrictions, so confirm eligibility first.
Winbay: honest note
Winbay appears in many Interac betting searches, and we include it for that reason, but it is a casino. Its sports content is virtual sports, meaning computer-simulated races and matches with results generated by software. If you want to bet on the Leafs, Winbay is not the place. If you want a simple Interac-first casino with full CAD support and a 1-3 day payout, it is a decent one.
Funding bets on Canadian gambling sites by e-Transfer
The mechanics are the same as at any Interac casino. Timing is what changes, because a betting line does not wait for your bank.
You pick Interac in the cashier, enter an amount, and send an e-Transfer from your bank app to the processor address shown. Most deposits landed in minutes for us. A few took longer when the security answer was needed. On a Saturday afternoon before kickoff, those extra minutes matter, so top up before the game you care about, not during the anthem.
- Deposit at least an hour before the event you want to bet on.
- Copy the recipient and reference fresh from the cashier each time.
- Keep the bank app logged in on your phone so you can approve a Request Money notice quickly.
- Check your bank's daily e-Transfer cap before a big-game deposit.
Bank limits are the quiet constraint here. A typical daily e-Transfer cap at a large Canadian bank is around $3,000, but it varies by account, so confirm yours on our bank limits page or with the bank directly. New to the whole process? Our Interac e-Transfer casino explainer walks through every screen.
Withdrawing betting winnings
Settled bets become withdrawable cash, unless they were placed with bonus funds that still carry a rollover. Request the cashout from the same cashier. Sportuna and Caspero quote 24-72 hours, and Winbay 1-3 days, for Interac. At BigClash you will need a non-Interac route. The first withdrawal always waits for ID checks, so upload documents before the playoff run, not during it.
Sportsbook bonuses usually require bets at minimum odds to count toward wagering. A stake at very short odds may not count at all.
Stake sizes vs deposit sizes
| Your typical stake | Sensible Interac top-up | Why |
|---|---|---|
| $5 to $10 | $50 | Covers a weekend of small singles and a parlay |
| $20 to $50 | $200 to $300 | Avoids topping up mid-event |
| $100+ | Plan around your bank cap | Daily e-Transfer limits can stop a second deposit |
Provincial books vs offshore Interac gambling sites
Every province has a legal option of its own, and most of them accept Interac too.
| Region | Provincial sports betting brand | Run by | Single-event bets | Interac funding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| British Columbia, Manitoba | PlayNow | BCLC (with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries) | Yes | Yes |
| Ontario | Proline+ plus iGO-registered private books | OLG; iGaming Ontario | Yes | Yes |
| Québec | Mise-o-jeu | Loto-Québec | Yes | Yes |
| Alberta | PlayAlberta | AGLC | Yes | Yes |
| Atlantic provinces | Pro-Line via PlayALC | Atlantic Lottery | Yes | Yes |
Payment options at provincial sites change from time to time, so treat the Interac column as a general picture and check the cashier.
Why bettors still use offshore books
Mainly markets and odds. Offshore sites like Sportuna, BigClash and Caspero list more esports, niche leagues and live markets than some provincial books, and they bundle a large casino on the same account. On the other side, provincial books are regulated at home, with dispute routes through a Canadian body. That difference matters most when something goes wrong with a payout, which is why we keep our test deposits small on any offshore site until it has paid us back once. For a bettor, the practical rule is simple: a provincial book for big, regular wagers you want fully protected at home, an offshore book for markets you cannot find anywhere else.
Ontario is the exception. The province has its own competitive regulated market, and Ontario residents should use iGaming Ontario registered operators. Our Ontario Interac casino guide lists the brands with Ontario versions.
Keeping Interac betting in check
Fast deposits are convenient. They are also the easiest way to chase a bad Sunday.
Set a weekly deposit limit in the account area of whichever site you use; it applies to every e-Transfer you send. Avoid topping up during a live game you are already losing on. Most sites offer several layers of control, and the combined casino-sportsbook brands apply them across both sides of the account. If you notice you are betting to win back losses, use the time-out or self-exclusion tools in the account, and look at provincial support lines such as ConnexOntario or your province's responsible gambling service.
- Weekly deposit limit, set before your first e-Transfer.
- Loss or wager limits, where the site offers them.
- Reality checks that pop up after a set time logged in.
- Time-out for a day, a week or a month.
- Self-exclusion, which closes the account for a longer period.
- Your bank's own controls, such as lowering your e-Transfer cap.
If you also play the casino side, our Interac bonus breakdown shows how casino wagering interacts with sportsbook balances at combined sites like Sportuna.
A last practical point
Keep one betting site per bank account at first. When every e-Transfer goes to one processor, your statement is a clear record of what you have spent, and that clarity beats any odds boost.
Interac Betting Sites: FAQ
Which betting sites accept Interac in Canada?
On our list, Sportuna, BigClash and Caspero run sportsbooks that take Interac deposits. Sportuna and Caspero also support Interac for Canadian withdrawals, while BigClash is deposit-only by Interac. Provincial books such as PlayNow, Proline+, Mise-o-jeu, PlayAlberta and PlayALC generally accept Interac too. Winbay accepts Interac but offers only virtual sports, not a real sportsbook.
Is single-event sports betting legal in Canada?
Yes. Bill C-218, the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act, allowed provinces to offer single-event betting from August 27, 2021. Before that, only parlay bets were permitted. Ontario added a regulated private market through iGaming Ontario in April 2022. Other provinces offer single-event bets through their lottery corporations.
How fast do Interac betting sites pay out?
Sportuna and Caspero state 24-72 hours for Interac withdrawals, and Winbay states 1-3 days. BigClash quotes up to 72 hours but pays through methods other than Interac. Your first withdrawal will usually take longer because of identity checks, so verify your account soon after your first deposit.
Can I use the same Interac deposit for sports and casino?
At combined sites, yes. Sportuna runs both from one CAD wallet, so a single e-Transfer funds bets and slots. Caspero and BigClash also host a casino and sportsbook on one account. Bonus funds may be restricted to one side, so check the terms of any offer you claim before mixing play.
Is Interac gambling safe at offshore sportsbooks?
The e-Transfer itself is secure, because you never share card details or banking passwords. The risk sits with the operator. Check the licence in the footer, start small, and test a withdrawal before depositing larger amounts. Provincial books offer Canadian regulation and complaint routes that offshore sites do not.
Do Ontario bettors have different options?
Yes. Ontario residents should use iGaming Ontario registered sportsbooks or OLG's Proline+, all of which accept Interac. The offshore sportsbooks on this page are not listed by us as registered in Ontario, so they are not part of the province's regulated market.
Are there fees for Interac sports betting deposits?
The sites on our list do not charge Interac deposit fees. Your bank may charge a small per-transfer fee on some basic accounts, and bank daily caps still apply. If a site runs in a currency other than CAD, a conversion margin may also apply, though Sportuna, Caspero and Winbay all support CAD.
Do Canadian gambling sites take etransfer for sports bets?
Most offshore sportsbooks that serve Canada list Interac e-Transfer in the same cashier as the casino, so one etransfer deposit funds both. Provincial books such as PlayNow and Proline+ also accept Interac. Check whether the sportsbook pays out by e-Transfer too, since some only take deposits that way.
